4 Tests To Check Fertility

The health of the female reproductive organs is one of the most important things. This is because their reproductive organs will determine whether the woman is fertile or not. By knowing fertility in women, she can determine a pregnancy plan.

There are some women who have been married for a long time, but are not yet pregnant. Usually, they will do tests to confirm whether they are fertile or not.

The fertility test itself is useful for examining several parts, such as the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. When one of the reproductive organs is not working optimally, a test is needed to detect disorders that occur in the reproductive organs.

To do this test, you can consult a specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist or Obgyn. This specialist doctor specifically deals with reproductive health in women, such as menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

There are several general methods that can be used to examine the female reproductive organs.

Fertility Tests for Women

  1. Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a method that is carried out using a tool in the form of a thin and flexible tube. The tool also has a camera at the end, which functions to see the condition of the inside of the uterus.
Not only that, the hysteroscopy method can also be used to find out the cause of abnormal bleeding that occurs in the uterus. For example, heavy bleeding that occurs during menstruation, or just before menopause.
This hysteroscopy method can also detect the presence of fibroids, polyps, and deformities in the uterus.
  1. Transvaginal Ultrasound
The second method is transvaginal ultrasound, which is used to determine the condition of the reproductive organs in women. The procedure in this test, usually takes pictures of the female reproductive organs using an ultrasound device through the vagina.
Apart from being used to check for pregnancy, this transvaginal ultrasound method can also detect vaginal bleeding, ectopic pregnancies, pelvic pain, and examine contraceptives in the uterus.
This method can also help diagnose cancer of the reproductive organs, cysts, miscarriages, birth defects in the fetus, to placenta previa.
  1. Hysterosalpingography
Hysterosalpingography or HSG is a method that uses X-rays to take pictures of the inside of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and the surrounding area.
Before carrying out this test, you will be injected with contrast fluid into the uterus. This aims to ensure that the uterus and fallopian tubes are in normal condition.
  1. Laparoscopy
The last method that can be used to check female fertility is laparoscopy. In this method, the doctor will insert a small camera into the stomach through a small incision in the abdomen. This camera will see all parts of the pelvis, to see the cause of infertility.
Generally, there are several things that cause infertility in women, such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, adhesions that occur due to diseases that occur in the ovaries and fallopian tubes. In addition, laparoscopy is also performed to diagnose pelvic inflammatory disease conditions.

One of the things you need to know is that a fertility test and a fertility test are different things. Fertility tests are used to determine the health of the uterus and reproductive organs in women. Meanwhile, the fertile period test is used to find out when the fertile period in women occurs.
