Let's Start with Your Name

Tell us a bit about your wellness practice and coaching. What do you love most about what you do?

I have a mission to elevate self-awareness by teaching meditation, yoga, journaling techniques, give wellness coaching to individuals and corporates and read Human Design. I got into this career after personally seeing the benefits & understanding it from a scientific point of view. I really believe more people should practice self-awareness to have a better quality of life. I love empowering people to get to know themselves better and act on their potential.

How has meditation changed your life?

Meditation changed my life by making me more aware about my inner world. My thoughts and emotions that made up a lot of suffering and stress in my life. By practicing meditation regularly and exploring its techniques, I find myself to be more calm, compassionate, and loving towards myself and others.

Do you have any advice for how people can be more mindful?

To be more mindful, all you need to start is to realize the times when you are not. For example, as you are reading this text, are you aware of what you’re thinking and feeling? Are you aware of your surroundings? What you hear, smell, see?

Describe your period in 3 emojis.

What feelings do you have towards your period?

I feel it’s a time of release, the mental, emotional and physical baggage that no longer serves me. I used to have mixed feelings with my period. Now I learn to follow my body’s flows and needs rather than judge it harshly. It’s also my permission slip to rest and hibernate if needed.

Do you get any womanly intuition or signs when your period is coming?

Yes, I notice the physical tension in my breast and hips towards my period. Energetically, I feel lower for the first few days but then energetic during the period.

Are there any habits that you incorporate into your lifestyle to honor your period?

I journal a lot of the things I honestly no longer want to keep in my life. Limiting belief, emotional baggage, feeling of resentment. The period now is like a whole body purge. I light up candles, I make sure I do extra self-care with my hot chocolate and my favorite oils.

Do you remember the first time you got your first period?

Yes, my first period was 4th grade and in school. I was shocked and embarrassed. I felt I wasn’t prepared for it. When I told my mom later that day at home, I then got a whole lecture about what menstruation is: what to do and what not to do.

If you could give your younger self advice when you first got your period, what would you say?

It’s normal to have this even if your friends haven’t had it yet and be easier on yourself.
